Christmas 2018 at St. Alkmund’s Church Duffield

Join us in celebrating the season, this Christmas at St Alkmund’s. With family friendly services traditional and modern throughout December.

  • Crib Service Meadows School

    A short family service which gives everyone an opportunity to take time out of a busy day to think about what it's all about.   (You may want to make sure that long hair is tied back, as there will be candles!)

  • Christmas Eve Carol Service

    6:30 pm

    The big one! Come along and sing the classic carols and hear performances sung by our singers. Hear the traditional readings and timeless truths of the Christmas story.

  • Christmas Day Service

    10:00 am

    A family celebration of Jesus birthday. Expect fun, laughter, carols and excited, but very tired children (& parents!). For more information, please contact the Church Office, which will be open until 19th December 2017.

  • Christingle Service

    16 December, 2018
    5:00 pm

    Our evening service is also held in church with more modern music, alongside prayers, Bible readings and sermon. Communion is usually part of this service on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month. Tea, coffee and cake are served afterwards.

    6:30 pm

    Come and join us as we celebrate the Christmas story through carols, readings and a look at how the Christmas story still affects us today. Mulled wine and minced pies are served afterwards.
