Safeguarding at St Alkmund’s
At St Alkmund’s we believe that everyone is created in God’s image and that as such we have a duty to value all people and to protect them from harm.
Therefore we are committed to nurturing, protecting and safeguarding all our members, particularly children, young people and vulnerable adults. We also recognise that safeguarding is the responsibility of the whole church community.
Safeguarding Past Case Review 2 (PCR2)
We are required to review all historic safeguarding concerns involving, not only children, but vulnerable adults as well. If you have any safeguarding concerns, current or historic, please go to the safeguarding pages on the Derby Diocese website www.derby.anglican.org/en/about-us/safeguarding-information-menu.html or you can contact our safeguarding links, details on page one of the notice sheet.
Individual survivors who wish to make representations to the PCR2 process in the Diocese or who have information or wish to make any disclosures regarding church related abuse, are encouraged to make direct contact with the Diocesan Safeguarding Team on 01332 388678. Alternatively there is a national dedicated helpline operated by the NSPCC on 0800 80 20 20
